This is a heating and cooling system that uses water in combination with ground loops to either
extract or dump heat.
Water circulates through closed loops of polyethylen pipes that are installed either vertically or
horizonally in the ground. These loops are then connectd to an extended range heat
pump
The advantages are that the system requires less power and refrigerant than conventional systems
and it is non polluting.
Disasdvantages are that costs are 30-40% more that conventional systems but the savings are 60%
annually. The system showcased here had a payback of 6 years,
